Ringier AG-owned EJobs Romania (at EJobs.ro) has appointed Bogdan Badea as the company’s new CEO.

Badea has been working with EJobs as head of sales since Jan. 2017. He took over his new role at the beginning of March. His previous work experience includes managerial positions in sales and business development for companies like Smartree, Procter & Gamble, Accace and Ernst & Young.

Launched in 1999, EJobs.ro is the largest online recruitment platform in Romania. In FY2016, it generated revenue of €5.9 million ($6.5 million U.S.), which was 60 percent higher than in FY2015. The profit margin climbed to 50 percent (source).

The site’s main competitors are Neogen Group’s BestJobs.eu, SC Catalyst Solutions’ Hipo.ro, and Naspers’ OLX.ro; which relaunched its jobs category with a fresh structure, new search engine, and a page with a special offer for employers in April 2017 (more).

In February 2018, EJobs.ro received 4.8 million visits to its desktop and mobile sites, while BestJobs.eu counted 2.5 million visits, and Hipo.ro counted 912,700 visits, according to SimilarWeb. OLX.ro received 43 million visits to all its categories during the same time, but the statistics for individual categories are unavailable.
