Kenya-focused recruitment site Fuzu is set to expand its online career development and talent management business to Uganda in May.

Fuzu aims to satisfy job-seekers’ need for innovative solutions. The site helps them figure out who they are, where their potential lies and how best to match their talents to employment opportunities.  Founder Jussi Hinkkanen (LinkedIn profile) often emphasizes that Fuzu is not just another job board. The Ugandan site will allow job-seekers to learn new skills and competencies, showcase their talent and find jobs that best match their profiles using AI; irrespective of their level of education and seniority.

Job-seekers also get access to course recommendations and career advice.

Employers can benefit from Fuzu’s recruiter tools, which include automated CV analysis. The site has also integrated psychometric testing and talent profiling into its application process.

The job board saw 1.3 million site visits last month — five million behind ROAM’s BrighterMonday Kenya. In Uganda, it faces competition from (172,000 visits in Feb.) and ROAM’s BrighterMonday Uganda (100,000 visits in Feb.).

Tältt Ventures recently named Fuzu as one of its Disrupt 100 companies, out of 5 million startups across the world.  The company also placed third in African Business Review‘s list of most exciting growth companies across Africa.

Fuzu will enter the Ugandan market with 20 partnerships already in place with organizations like KCCA, the ICT Association of Uganda, Microsoft, M-Kopa, SafeBoda along with local innovation hubs like Innovation Village, VentureLabs, and Outbox.
