Entrepreneur Harada founded app development company Zawatt.com in 2011, before selling it to Mercari. He joined Souzoh in March 2017 and has since launched a marketplace with a price appraisal feature, known as Mercarimaisonz.

Matsumoto joined the group in May 2015. He established Souzoh and has since been a key to driving the development of new businesses. This includes a marketplace for books, CDs and DVDs called Mercarikauru; on-demand share cycle service Merchari; skill-sharing service Teacha.me; and hyper-local horizontal Mercariatte —  which will be gradually scaled down before closing at the end of May.
