South Africa’s second-biggest recruitment vertical Careers24 has improved its candidate profile section, making it easier for candidates to register and update their profiles.

Careers24“When a job seeker uploads their latest CV, the smarter system will automatically update the candidate’s profile with new information, such as new qualifications or additional work experience, without overwriting existing information,” the Naspers-owned job board said in a news statement

Job-seekers can now upload their CVs in a Word or PDF format and the website will pull the information through to their profiles where they can then make edits, should they need to.

Brand manager Shaun Clarke (LinkedIn profile) explains the site wants to make it as easy as possible for candidates to keep their CVs updated “so they can spend less time on the formalities and more time on finding the right job.”

Updated CVs, of course, also help recruiters. Candidates can upload multiple CVs under their profile and choose which ones they want recruiters to see.

Careers24 is South Africa’s second-largest recruitment vertical with an average of three million monthly visitors between January and March, according to SimilarWeb. Its main competitor, Pnet.co.za saw an average of 5.1 million monthly visitors during the same period.
