In Finland, Oikotie.fi — Sanoma’s horizontal platform for apartments, vehicles, and jobs — has offered recruiting companies help in creating VR tours to embed in their job listings presented on the site.

A VR tour presentation can be ordered directly from Oikotie and will be created by the site’s partners. For customers with existing VR content, the company can also just embed the tour.

The first VR presentation appeared on job listings from Elisa Oyj, a Finnish telecommunications company. With the help of VR glasses and a smartphone, Elisa’s job ads now include a realistic, 360-degree VR experience; helping candidates understand the company’s working environment.

Elisa’s VR presentation also works well in a browser. With 3D technology, you can move around in the direction you want and retrieve information about interesting objects. The presentation has been implemented in collaboration with 3D Studio Blomberg.

Oikotie has also recently piloted a chat service where a representative of a recruiting company responded to applicant’s questions in real time.

Oikotie Jobs is one of the most popular job sites in Finland. Its main competitor is Alma Media’s job vertical Monster.fi. Another important site is job search engine Duunitori.fi.

Oikotie.fi received 4 million visits across its categories in April, according to SimilarWeb. Monster.fi counted 495,140 visits and Duunitori.fi had 2 million visits (desktop and mobile websites) during the same period.
