New communications director for Catcha Group

Catcha Group has appointed Stephanie Caunter at the company’s new global communications director. The Southeast Asian business owns automotive vertical ICar Asia and Frontier Digital Ventures, among other brands.

Caunter (LinkedIn profile) has more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications and business development. Most recently, she worked as PricewaterhouseCoopers’ executive director for marketing and communications for Malaysia and Vietnam.

Caunter will lead Catcha Group’s public relations, branding, and digital marketing efforts. She heads Catcha Group’s Wild Digital events business — a platform for digital leaders building disruptive companies. The business is present in four cities with plans to continue expanding to other countries.

Caunter holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cornell University and was a global sustainability marketer for PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is a mentor on both the Lean In Malaysian chapter and the McKinsey Youth Leadership Academy.

Catcha Group is one of Southeast Asia’s leading internet groups. The company builds and invests in disruptive internet companies across emerging markets globally. It exited IProperty Group with one of the largest acquisitions in Southeast Asia when Rupert Murdoch’s REA Group bought the real estate group for $534 million U.S..
