GPlus Media, an operator of foreigner-focused jobs and real estate sites in Japan, has partnered with recruitment consultant AcroSeed to provide companies with legal and support services when hiring foreign talent.

Owned by Japanese media conglomerate Fuji Sankei Group, the company runs jobs site CareerEngine.org,  multilingual general classifieds site GaijinPot.com and property site RealEstate.co.jp.

It primarily targets foreigners and the “g” in GPlus Media stands for “gaikokujin” or foreigners. The group has set up a page on its site to introduce services and content around foreign employment, according to a news statement.

In another statement, it said the number of foreign workers in Japan exceeded 1.3 million in Oct. last year. The company believes local employers lack the skills and knowledge needed to deal with the challenges they face hiring foreign workers. These include confirming a candidate’s residence status, visa acquisitions and language barriers.

GPlus Media said it’s started offering comprehensive foreign recruitment support services in partnership with AcroSeed, to address the issues related to employing a foreign workforce.

The company’s sites saw a combined 2.47 million unique users and 17.38 million monthly page views in Jan..
