Japanese automotive vertical Goo-Net has shared listings of its 400,000 plus used cars with the country’s most popular auto publication BestCarWeb.jp

In a news statement, Goo-Net’s parent company Proto Corporation said it had signed an agreement with Kodansha BC Ltd. to provide pre-owned car ads to its subsidiary Best Car, which publishes a print version with a circulations of 300,000 copies twice a month. BestCarWeb saw 2.45 million visitors in May, according to SimilarWeb.

Proto Corp. aims to increase critical mass for its second-hand cars site through the listings-sharing accord. It will partner with various other media to increase the point of contacts, the company said.

Goo-Net is itself a traffic puller, but not as big as its rivals are. Its desktop and mobile platforms received 15.5 million visitors in May. Rivals Yahoo Japan’s CarView saw 28.9 million visitors and Recruit Holdings’ CarSensor.net saw 20.4 million visitors during the month.
