Mixi Recruitment Co. Ltd., which runs the tech jobs site FindJob in Japan, has launched a matching site CosMika to connect entrepreneurs and freelancers with outsourcers, mentors, and venture capital firms.
CosMika helps entrepreneurs and freelancers interact with each other; grow their businesses; find business partners, freelance work or mentors; use cloud accounting software; and search for co-working space, according to a news statement.
The site is connected with FindJob, so jobs can also be posted on the job board at discounts. CosMika’s membership is free, but the company plans to introduce fee structure for its matching features.
FindJob has been operating since 1997 and caters to young users in 20s and 30s. It has served more than 40,000 companies through job placements and currently hosts 12,000 listings.
IT industry-specific site CareerHack.En-Japan.com of En-Japan Inc. poses category competition to FindJob, but CareerHack is more of an industry trend bulletin than a listing platform. There are a plethora of career-switch sites in the region showcasing opportunities for job-seekers in their mid-20s and 30s. Popular among them are RikunabiNext, BaitoruNext, and Mid-Tenshoku.com.
