Roig (Wikipedia page) is a multi-billionaire businessman whose interests include the massive supermarket chain Mercadona, of which he is president. Lanzadera is his private venture capital firm. It has funded nearly 200 businesses across a range of sectors to date.

He told Spanish newspaper El Espanol that although there are “very strong real estate portals with millions of visits, they specialize in the residential sector”.

Lanzadera has supported a range of classified projects including academic platform Wuolah, nautical rental site BoatJump, and crowdsourced new-build property portal Viviendea.

An open invitation on the Lanzadera website says the company’s looking for a team to work on a “new online portal for sale and rent of offices, commercial locations, industrial warehouses, and logistics”.

No specific experience or education requirements are listed. The notice simply says it is looking for “initiative, autonomy, focus on objectives, and an innovative attitude”.

The startup team will receive training, mentoring, €100,000 ($116,000 U.S.) funding, and the ongoing support of Lanzadera.

Interested parties can apply via the website. The project is due to launch in October 2018.
