In Finland, Alma Career’s Monster.fi has launched a free app to allow candidates to both search and apply for a job from their smartphone, according to a Tekniikkatalous.fi report.

The app, available for iOS and Android platforms, proposes jobs based on the information included in the candidate’s profile: like training and work history and desired locations.

Job-seekers can apply for jobs with one click while the app automatically provides employers with the applicant’s contact details and resume.

The site is one of the most popular recruitment verticals in Finland. Its main competitor is Sanoma’s Oikotie Jobs (part of Oikotie.fi, a horizontal for real estate, vehicles and jobs). Another is job search engine Duunitori.fi.

Monster.fi received 525,820 visits in June, according to SimilarWeb. Oikotie.fi counted 3.9 million visits across its categories while Duunitori.fi had 1.6 million visits (desktop and mobile websites) during the same period.

The vertical is a subsidiary of Alma Career Oy, which is owned by Alma Media and Monster Worldwide. Apart from Finland, Alma Career also manages recruitment services in Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic (operating under the Monster brand), Slovakia, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
