Felix Frank, the VP  of customer product and marketing at Germanys No. 2 auto site AutoScout24, will leave the company at the end of the year to take on a new role at Sixt Leasing SE, a German-owned auto leasing and fleet management company.

According to a news release, Frank (LinkedIn profile) will become the chief digital officer and managing director of online retail for Sixt Leasing. The Sixt SE subsidiary operates leasing platforms Sixt-Neuwagen.de and Autohaus24.de. He’ll oversee business on those sites, through which private and commercial users lease new and used autos.

Sixt Leasing is active in five European countries and is setting its sights on international expansion, which Frank will be largely responsible for. The company plans to grow its contract portfolio by 140 percent by 2021, the announcement said. That will translate into over 110,000 leases by 2021 at an annual growth rate of 25 percent, according to an article on AutoHaus.de this week (in German).

Sixt said it expects the industry “will see a lot of innovation and disruption in the coming years.” This “disruption” (i.e. a rise in alternative auto ownership models) could affect AutoScout24, too. At its first Capital Markets Day in November 2017, the company said it would roll out products to reflect this change in demand in future.

Frank joined AutoScout24 in 2012 and has held his current title since 2015. He took on co-leadership of the site in April 2017.
