Sellers on Japanese general classifieds site Jimoty (at no longer need to specify a transaction venue when listing on the site. The system will now automatically propose nearby trading locations.

The feature has initially been introduced on the horizontal’s mobile site, according to a company blog post.

Users previously needed to manually choose a trading venue after selecting a route from a map.

Tokyo-based Jimoty Ltd. has been operating with a freemium business model since February 2011.

The site faces category competition from flea market Mercari, used-cars marketplace, real estate site and a myriad of job portals.

Jmty saw 11.8 million visitors to its desktop and mobile sites in July, according to SimilarWeb. Its app has been installed more than one million times (source: Google Play).
