Google has selected two online marketplaces and, as participants in its second class of Launchpad Accelerator Africa.

Google’s regional Launchpad accelerators, which it hosts in more than 40 countries, offer three to six months of in-house training, exclusive events, and mentorship opportunities, tailored specifically to their local markets. The program provides access to the best of Google — its people, network, and advanced technologies — helping startups build great products.

Medsaf is a one-stop, safe medication marketplace for pharmacies and hospitals in Nigeria. With the alarming rate of fake drugs in the country, the site offers quality and trust.

Preeva, on the other hand, is an online platform that links up students with tutors who provide homeschooling or university training. It offers different packages for learning —  individual, groups (family and friends) or workshops — and takes a commission for facilitating the interaction, before paying the tutors.

The second class of the Launchpad Accelerator includes 11 startups shortlisted from 250 applicants.
