Monster hires Steve Delisle as new CTO

Steve Delisle will join job board Monster in late October. As the company’s new chief technology officer, he’ll be responsible for infrastructure, business applications, security, product engineering, and architecture.

Delisle (LinkedIn profile) previously spent 13 years in various roles and departments at IBM. Most recently, he served as the VP of engineering at IBM Watson Commerce and Supply Chain, where he “implemented agile practices, migrated the product suite to the cloud, introduced microservices, and evolved the product and engineering culture,” according to a statement.

Delisle holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Connecticut.

“His strong track record of successfully building software in large globally distributed technology organizations, coupled with his start-up experience, makes him a great fit to lead the next phase of our technology turnaround,” Monster CEO Scott Gutz (LinkedIn profile) said.

Monster is owned by Amsterdam-based Randstad Holding.
