The importance of niche jobs sites in the French market is growing. This is according to the results of internet research company Médiamétrie Net/Ratings’ annual traffic study.

Government-backed aggregator Pole Emploi takes pole position when it comes to traffic. It’s followed by another aggregator Indeed.fr while LeBonCoin‘s recruitment vertical took third place.

All three sites held the same position for last year’s study. It’s the rest of the list that’s interesting with a number of niche recruitment verticals making an appearance. They include legal jobs site JuriTravail, regional vertical RegionsJob, and managerial jobs site Cadremploi. The latter two have surged far beyond their 2017 ranking.

Cadremploi is owned by Figaro Classifieds. The company’s deputy head Pascal Lasserre (LinkedIn profile) said the site  “reaches 1 out of 2 private sector executives.” It’s moved up from 7th to 6th place.

RegionsJobs didn’t even feature on last year’s Top 10 list. This year it’s in 5th place.

The company operates 8 regional job boards across France with a total of 80,000 listings. It recorded a revenue of €38 million ($45 million U.S.) in FY2017.

RegionsJobs has launched several other niche job boards in recent years, including the managerial jobs site Cadreo.com, a job board for digital professionals at Hellowork.io and a digital training site Helloskills.io. It acquired a semantic job search engine JobiJoba in July.
