Cox Automotive has announced the appointment of former Dell executive Sid Nair as its new chief sales and marketing officer. He will report to company president Sandy Schwartz.

Nair (LinkedIn Profile) brings more than 23 years of software and technology experience to his new post. He will oversee the company’s 2,500-person sales and marketing operation in the U.S.

Most recently, Nair served as the chief sales and revenue officer at DXC Technology, where he was responsible for growing its $10 billion business across the Americas. The firm is a leading end-to-end IT services company which serves about 6,000 clients located in 70 countries, in a variety of industries.

Before that, he worked for HPE Enterprise Services, which merged with CSC in April 2017 to became DXC Technology. He also worked for Dell for 5 years, where he was the senior vice president and global general manager for its $1.5 billion Healthcare & Life Sciences division. He led a team of more than 16,000 people.

Nair worked at Wipro for more than 16 years, climbing to the position of chief sales and operations officer, where his team delivered more than $4 billion in sales.

His new job calls for him to devise innovative strategies to sell across the Cox brands, to expand client opportunities and to simplify doing business with the company.

Cox Automotive is a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises Inc., a privately-owned company with revenues of more than $20 billion. Cox brands include Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and Dealer.com.
