Japanese gig economy-focused Lancers Inc. has rolled out a new job-matching site called LancersPro to connect businesses with carefully-selected, highly-skilled freelancers.

The platform will allow companies to outsource specialized skills. Lancers has also released a time-based compensation system that lets employers request work from field experts, consultants, and advisors and measure working hours online.

Tokyo-headquartered Lancers has been operating its leading job crowdsourcing platform at Lancers.jp since 2008. It also operates an IT-focused freelance matching service called LancersAgent and recruitment bulletin at Paraft.jp.

The company collaborated with Persol Holdings Limited to launch an on-demand jobs-matching platform in November.

Japan has lots of side-job and freelance work sites. Crowd Work Inc. operates CrowdWorks.jp that allows companies to directly assign work to individuals, a career-support service for freelance engineers and designers at CrowdTech.jp and a career-support service for freelance engineers and designers at WowMe.jp. Other freelance work sites include Pro-Freelancer.com, Freelance.Levtech.jpA-Star.co.jp, and CosMika.
