The system will automatically send confirmation emails to realtors on a daily basis. They can then confirm whether a listing is still available. Those that aren’t, will be deleted from the system.
In the future, the system will also be able to monitor listings for violations of publishing rules and delete bogus ads.
Homes.co.jp said it upgraded its automatic detection system to keep listings fresh. The site is owned by Lifull Co. Ltd. (TSE: 2120) and carries around 6 million property ads. Lifull also owns general classifieds aggregator Trovit and digital classifieds group Mitula — which it acquired in December.
Homes.co.jp has outperformed all its competitors — like Suumo.jp, AtHome, Daito Trust Construction Inc., EHeya, Yahoo Real Estate, and Chintai.net — when it comes to its use of technology in the real estate sector.
