Akiya-AtHome.jp launched for vacant houses

11 Jan 2019

Japanese property site AtHome (at AtHome.co.jp) has launched a nationwide version of a dedicated sub-site called Akiya-AtHome.jp. The site will promote vacant real estate, also known as zombie properties.

The centralized hub will list empty-standing houses, apartments and vacant spaces owned by municipalities and state authorities.

The site has also unveiled a remodeling price simulator for brokerage companies to predetermine the cost of renovating vacant houses and properties.

Rival Lifull Home’s (at Homes.co.jp) has been running a similar consolidated database of vacant spaces at Homes.co.jp/AkiyaBank for more than a year.

Other main real estate marketplaces in Japan include Suumo.jp, Yahoo Real Estate, and Chintai.net.
