The AARP (formerly the American Association of Retired Personshas announced the launch of a new resume and professional writing service to help older workers land a new job or change careers.

The service, branded as AARP Resume Advisor, is powered by TopResume, a Talent Inc. company.

Users will receive a free resume review and objective feedback on how well the resume communicates expertise. They’ll also get individualized recommendations on how to accentuate skills and experience to stand out from the competition.

Registered AARP.org users and AARP members who want more in-depth help with a resume, cover letter or LinkedIn profile can access preferred pricing.  They’ll be able to work with experts who understand the needs of job-seekers who are 50 and older. These experts will also provide simple techniques to age-proof a resume and redefine a personal brand to avoid the pitfalls of age discrimination.

Founded in 2014, TopResume says it analyzes and writes more resumes and LinkedIn profiles than any other service. Focused on the job-seeker, the company is the resume-writing partner for many niche and large job boards.

AARP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people aged 50 and older. It has a nationwide presence of nearly 38 million members.
