The CEO of the Swiss recruitment company JobCloud AG, Renato Profico, will leave his position by the end of January due to “different views on the future strategic direction,” the company announced this week.

Before becoming CEO in 2015, Profico (LinkedIn profile) had been the head of sales (2010-2014) and head of business development (2008-2010) at JobCloud.

“The recognized online recruitment expert Renato Profico has decisively shaped the present success story of the job marketplace and has developed JobCloud in a very good way during the last years,” vice president of the board Christoph Brand (LinkedIn profile) said. “However, especially in the field of job searching, the pressure through disruptive business models is constantly increasing. Based on the strong market position achieved during the last years, JobCloud AG will position itself for the future.”

Brand is also the head of classifieds and marketplaces for Tamedia AG.

JobCloud’s current chief business development officer Davide Villa (LinkedIn profile) will now take over the position of CEO. He’s held various positions in the company since joining it in 2014. He was promoted to his current role in June 2018. 

Villa will focus on extending the company’s footprint in the digital environment. Head of international marketplaces and chairman of the JobCloud board Robin Lingg (LinkedIn profile) said tVilla will “fulfill ambitious business growth goals.”

“The Swiss recruitment market still offers very much potential,” he said. 

JobCloud runs the job boards and, along with several other specialist recruitment platforms. It is jointly held by Ringier and Tamedia.
