The French jobs startup Welcome to the Jungle will expand to Spain in March.
The Paris-based recruitment site is in the process of hiring the entire team of around dozen people at the moment, to include content managers, video producers, business developers and customer service representatives, country manager Sergio Balcells told the AIM Group.
The Spanish version will be available at WelcomeToTheJungle.com/es, he added.
WecomeToTheJungle has raised €7 million ($8.1 million U.S.) last year (we reported here). It currently employs around 90 people. Its solutions consist of company information for candidates and hiring tool for companies.
The site was launched in 2015 and invites users to “work in the tribe that suits you.” It aims to make the job search more “human” by supplying more information about employer companies via photos, videos, portraits, and testimonials. This includes employee dress codes, interests of managers, the average age of staff, and other information that approaches employer branding from a human angle.
The portal started with profiling tech companies and expanded to other kinds of ventures. The goal is not to directly bring candidates to hiring firms, but instead to offer them tools and exposure to attract the right talent. Its specialized software-as-a-service recruitment platform called Welcome Kit lets recruiters list vacancies, create application forms and track candidates. It includes an ATS.
Welcome to the Jungle charges a subscription fee for job-board services. While it’s primarily focused on employer branding, the site also handles the dissemination of listings, mailing out notifications about applications received, and in some cases the prequalification of candidates.
Its clients include Glovo, Louis Vuitton, Carrefour, Uber, and BNP Paribas. The site had 1.3 million visitors in January, according to SimilarWeb.
