Axel Springer-owned recruitment ad site StepStone has announced plans to hire at least 300 new employees in Germany this year. Most of the new staff will be based at its headquarters in Düsseldorf.
“Our focus is on employees in sales and on IT experts, but we will also grow strongly in all other areas of the company,” MD Sebastian Dettmers said.
The site also plans to expand its artificial intelligence teams, currently at 100 employees. StepStone recently launched a new “data and insights” segment to provide data-based insights for employers.
The company calls itself the market leader in Germany, in terms of its applications-to-listings ratio. It runs recruitment sites in 24 countries, including its German platform StepStone and the U.K. site TotalJobs. The business currently employs more than 3,000 staff members.
