Recruitment site ZipRecruiter is expanding to Canada. The company announced today that it will work with Google, Kijiji, and 50 other Canadian brands to bring its AI matching technology to Canada’s tight labor market

Unemployment in the country is currently near its 43-year low at just 5.8 percent. More jobs are being created than there are available workers.

ZipRecruiter already has Canadian jobs on the site. The company told the AIM Group that today’s announcement is “a formalization of the expansion of our employment marketplace into Canada [including] dedicated sales support” and a specific Canada website.

The company raised $156 million in October 2018, bringing it into the “unicorn” club of companies valued at more than $1 billion ($1.5 billion for ZipRecruiter, to be exact).
