South Korean multinational used-cars marketplace has clinched more than half of the market share in Guatemala, Honduras, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.

Launched in 2014, Seoul-based Autowini was founded by Jiyoung Han, a former director and co-founder of the market leader It facilitates auto exports to more than 84 countries.

With a subscription-based listing model, Autowini listed an average of 300 ads each day in 2018. There are currently more than 68,500 listings on the site.  It launched its “BuyItSafely” system to build transparent transactions. The system provides consultancy, professional inspections, and shipping tracking services.

The site’s Korean competitors include SK EnCar, mobile-first horizontal HelloMarket’s auto vertical and HiCarz.
