Top Spanish real estate vertical is hosting a free data and artificial intelligence mini-conference on April 4, 2019, in Madrid. The event, called PropTech Data Madrid, will feature talks from data scientists and experts from Google, Vodafone and Idealista among others.

PropTechData takes place on the Google for Startups Campus in central Madrid, from 6:30PM to 10PM. Registration is via EventBrite.

While there will no doubt be much useful information shared, the program highlights (hopefully unwittingly) the gender skew in technology, even in an industry where women are well-represented as workers.

The lack of licensing for real estate agents in Spain means there are no hard statistics on the percentage of female agents, but in the U.S. more than 60 percent of realtors are women. It is fair to assume that women are at least proportionally represented in Spain, so it is a shame to see a lack of representation on the technology side.
