UAE-based careers platform Oliv has closed a $2 million Series A funding round led by the Aloshban and Alnamlah Family Groups in Saudi Arabia, and Mohammed Khoory in the UAE.
Oliv will invest the money in improving its technology. Funds will also go towards the site’s web app, which will be launched later this month.
Oliv aims to address youth unemployment in the MENA region by connecting talented young candidates with employers. It claims to have more than 200,000 students and graduates as registered job-seekers and works with more than 1,500 businesses.
The site saw 150,000 visitors in March, according to SimilarWeb.
