Raimo Mäkilä, senior vice president at Alma Media and the head of the company’s Alma Markets business segment — which houses the classified businesses — has announced that he will retire in August.

Mäkilä (LinkedIn profile) is 61 years old now. He started at the Aamulehti Group in 1997 and has worked in his current role at Alma Media since 1999.

Alma Media has started the search for Mäkilä’s successor and his role will be filled by the time he retires, the company said in a statement.

The businesses included in the Alma Markets division are job sites Monster.fi, Jobs.cz, Prace.cz, CV Online, Profesia.sk, MojPosao.net, Monster.cz, and Jobote.com. It also includes real estate sites Etuovi.com and Vuokraovi.com, travel site Gofinland.fi and auto sites Autotalli.com, Autosofta, and Alkali. Nettikoti — which Alma Media acquired in January 2016 — provides ERP systems for construction and renovation. It’s also reported in this unit, along with real estate agency system Kivi and Urakkamaailma, a marketplace for renovation and construction work.
