Allegro.pl, the No.1 horizontal in Poland, has successfully conducted its sixth art auction. The event took place earlier this month as part of the Cracow Art Week. Allegro was a sponsor for the festival.
The horizontal began auctioning artwork from its Collector’s Zone in September. The company sold more than 400 pieces for PLN 1.2 million ($315,376 U.S) during its first five auctions.
Allegro’s Collector’s Zone lets galleries use the site’s auction system. The transactions are covered by its Buyer Protection Program and buyers can pay in installments.
The marketplace is the largest e-commerce site in Poland. It received 219 million visits to its desktop and mobile websites in July, according to SimilarWeb.
