Tokyo-based HR tech firm TK Laboratories Inc. has released a cloud video assessment platform to help companies and recruiters pre-screen fresh graduates and mid-career hires.

Founded in Apr. 2002, TK Lab also operates a job-change agent to connect individuals with recruiters.

Called “Video Entry” the new tool uses AI to measure a candidate’s EQ and IQ based on their recorded answers to specific questions. It also presents findings on a patient’s mental health based on the psychographic analysis.

Staffing firms are increasingly implementing video interview platforms to improve hiring efficiency in Japan where talent shortage is a serious issue. Harutaka is another popular video interview platform used by a tech-oriented job-matching site for fresh graduates and PersolTechnology — a temporary jobs site for IT and manufacturing engineers.
