Yandex, the largest Russian internet company and search provider, has appointed Tigran Khudaverdyan to the newly-created role of deputy chief executive officer. He’s been with the company since 2006.
Khudaverdyan (LinkedIn profile) has served as the CEO of Yandex.Taxi and MLU B.V. — a unit responsible for a joint venture with Uber — since 2015. He’ll be replaced by Daniil Shuleyko who was previously the COO at MLU.
Arkady Volozh will remain the company’s CEO. Yandex.Vertical will be led by Anton Zabannikh who’s served as the division’s CEO since 2015. The business unit covers No.1 Russian automotive vertical Auto.ru, No.2 real estate vertical Realty.Yandex.ru, and the No.4 jobs vertical Job.Yandex.ru.
