AtHome.co.jp, the No. 3 property vertical in Japan in terms of traffic, is using AI technology to improve its capacity to analyze property images and text content and detect privacy violations.

The company’s corporate spin-off At Home Lab was launched early this month to develop new services using big data from its 55,000 member stores. The new entity aims to further strengthen the company’s data solution business.

AtHome provides property evaluation services and market analysis. It uses AI to streamline real estate operations. The new company will accelerate the development of data-based services.

AtHome is owned by Tokyo-based AtHome Co, Ltd. — not to be confused with U.S.-based AtHome or Luxembourg-headquartered real estate brokerage AtHome. The company was established in 1967.

Suumo.jp is the No. 1 property site in Japan with 20.3 million visits in May, according to SimilarWeb. Homes.co.jp saw 16.4 visitors during the month compared with AtHome.co.jp’s 9.9 million and Realestate.Yahoo.co.jp 5.2 million.
