KenKey.co.jp, a b-to-b marketplace for construction machinery and heavy vehicles in Japan, has introduced certified second-hand auto listings in collaboration with leading industrial machine manufacturer Komatsu (コマツの).
Under the collaboration, Komatsu’s mechanics will conduct 70-point inspections of used-vehicles prior to listing them for sale. The premium certified vehicles will carry a repair warranty. The listings will be replicated on BigLemon — a rival site KenKey acquired earlier this year.
Tokyo-based CarView started operating in September 1996. It was integrated as a subsidiary of Yahoo Japan in June 2013. The company’s main rivals include Goo-Net.com and Recruit Holdings’ CarSensor.net.
