NettiX‘s business director Veli-Matti Vänninmaja has left the company. The firm operates several leading classified sites in Finland.

Vänninmaja (LinkedIn profile) had worked for NettiX for more than 12 years. He was responsible for all business areas of NettiX, including strategic planning, budgeting and directing the business on a daily basis.

His duties will now be shared by other members of NettiX’s team. The overall responsibility for NettiX’s marketplaces will be in the hands of Jaakko Haapakangas (LinkedIn profile), who’s the director of new business functions at Otava Media.

NettiX owns Finland’s largest verticals for autos (, motorcycles ( and boats (, along with horizontals and real estate platforms. The company belongs to the Otava Group — the second largest graphic communications publisher in Finland. The Group’s principal business areas are books, trade, magazines, and digital businesses.
