Rental-focused firm Daito Trust Construction (at to enter the remodeling business from next year to provide renovation and repair services for apartments and rooms listed on its property marketplaces.

Called DK Select Reform, the remodeling business has already been launched on an experimental basis. It will offer four remodeling packages depending on the owner’s needs and the property’s conditions. Rental management facilities, including post-rent repairs, have also been envisaged to build a long-term relationship with the customers.

Founded in 1974, Tokyo-based Daito owns and operates rental rooms search engine EHeya, rental housing site JSee, rental property brokerage HouseCom, and real estate guarantor-finding site House-Leave.

Two key property verticals in Japan and also offer remodeling services. Rental properties account for almost 90 percent of all the listings on the sites.
