Naspers-owned OLX Poland has acquired a majority stake in Kiwi Jobs, a blue-collar recruitment app, for an undisclosed amount. The investment will help OLX strengthen its jobs category in Poland.

Kiwi Jobs was founded by Absolvent Group in 2017. It attracts candidates by ensuring they get an answer from employers within 48 hours of their application. It also offers standardized descriptions of job offers, which include information like the location of the work, contract type, and pay rate.

Candidates can take advantage of an internal chat function to communicate with employers. It is open on both sides so the candidate can also contact the employer at any time.

The app charges employers a subscription fee to post listings and process job applications.

Kiwi Jobs currently only operates in Warsaw but plans to expand to other major cities in Poland, including Wroclaw and Krakow.

“Seeing the huge potential for Kiwi Jobs development, OLX Group plans to strengthen its position in the blue-collar recruitment segment together with the start-up’s developers,” OLX said in a statement. restructured its job section in 2018 and categorized all job listings into three groups. The site also introduced new fees and packages for job listings. It repositioned its jobs category as a place to find both white and blue-collar jobs.

OLX Poland is the country’s No.1 horizontal. It received a total of 138.3 million visits to its web and mobile sites in May, according to SimilarWeb.
