Online service marketplace Vconnect, has partnered with energy and electrical equipment manufacturer Schneider Electric to train electricians on its site.

The training program is the first advanced technical training for electricians organized by Schneider in the country and it is backed financially by the French Development Agency (AFD).

“Vconnect as a company is known for its commitment to helping service professionals and small business owners grow and scale their businesses,” Deepankar Rustagi who founded Vconnect Global Services, said.

The training which will run for two months is expected to end by July, 2019.

In a bid to make the training accessible to more electricians on its platform, Vconnect will provide unrestricted access to the Schneider Electric’s electricians’ training modules to registered electricians on its site at a discount.

Vconnect was founded in 2010. It is one of the largest business and service online marketplaces in Nigeria and Ghana. The site has over a hundred services listed on its platform on offer by professionals ranging from repairs and maintenance, home and office improvement, logistics, digital marketing amongst others.
