Tencent-backed Chinese online art and print culture auction platform WeiPaiTang has amassed over 40 million users since launching in 2015, according to founder and CEO Lin Zhiming. In addition to 40 million users, WeiPaiTang has 300,000 merchants, completes 5 million orders per month, and facilitated over 20 billion transactions in 2018. The site covers seven categories, such as jade jewellery, ceramics, calligraphy and painting engraving, and tea.
