Recruitment site Glassdoor is expanding its presence in Chicago, leasing a new office that would allow it to grow its local team from 300 to 800.
Glassdoor plans to hire the new employees over the “next several years,” according to a statement. They would fill a variety of roles, including sales, customer support, product development, and engineering.
Glassdoor said the move is necessary to support its global expansion. The company has websites and mobile apps in 18 markets around the world and recently expanded into Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Latin America.
Glassdoor employs nearly 900 people around the world and has offices in San Francisco; Mill Valley, Calif.; Chicago; Uniontown, Ohio; London; Dublin; and Sao Paulo. It recently opened another space in Paris.
