A new British property portal Accomadation.co.uk will recruit 50 people over the next three years. The firm is preparing to launch its rental website which it hopes to expand nationwide. The new recruits will be letting consultants and marketing staff.
Accomodation.co.uk was founded by Lincoln University students Aaron Short and Matthew Meekins. It’s backed by angel investor and former Dyson executive John Lomas, who is a significant shareholder in the company.
The company recently moved its offices from Lincoln to Manchester. “Manchester is a hub of creativity and innovation, so it makes sense that we continue to build and develop our business in such a vibrant, future-thinking city,” Short said.
Accomodation.co.uk recently switched its business model. While it used to be managed as a self-employed network of local experts — similar to PurpleBricks — it’s now running a franchise-based model.
Over the last year or so, the firm has been developing technology that it says automates most lettings and property management processes. “We think our technology is a catalyst for improving the customer journey, and the amazing people we have on the ground will be empowered by our streamlined processes to offer the best service for landlords and tenants.”
