SpotAWheel, an online-only car dealer that also offers a used-car market for private sellers, has launched in Poland. The company has raised €5 million ($5.6 million U.S.) from VentureFriendsVelocity Partners, and other private investors.

SpotAWheel offers carefully selected and inspected used vehicles with a five-year mechanical warranty included in the price. Sellers can request a valuation. The company carries out a mechanical inspection and kilometer verification process before offering to buy the vehicle. Once bought, the vehicle is listed on the SpotAWheel marketplace. It currently offers an inventory of 85 cars.

SpotAWheel was founded in Greece in 2016 as a spin-off of — the first on-the-spot service for used cars in Greece. Parent company AutoSP GOC P.C. wanted to create a transparent market for second-hand cars.

The start-up has raised a total of €8 million ($8.9 million U.S.) in equity and debt. The latest funding round will help the company expand in Poland and Romania.
