Referral recruiting site Wanted raised $9 million U.S. in funding from venture capital firms and financial institutions to further expand its operations globally, TechInAsia reported.

New investors included Atinum Investment and Company KPartners, while existing backers, like Industrial Bank of Korea, Korea Investment and Co. Ltd., and Mirae Asset Venture Investment also participated in the latest funding.

Founded in 2015, the Wanted operates in South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan. Referrers earn reward from the platform after hiring of job applicants.

Last year, its operator Wanted Lab Inc. acquired Seoul-based KreditJob.com that crunches corporate data to provide job-seekers with turnover rate, remuneration trends and other information to help them choose jobs.

Wanted has so far raised $19.4 million U.S. in investment and connected more than 800,000 job-seekers with 5,000 firms. The site’s monthly revenue has grown 20 percent this year.

JobKorea.co.kr, Incruit.com and Kr.Indeed.com are some other main job sites in South Korea.
