Zigexn Inc. (TSE: 3679), which operates multiple auto, job and property sites, posted an 8.7% increase in profit to Y733 million ($6.9 million U.S.) for the first quarter ended June 30, 2019. The company recorded double-digit growth in sales revenue.

Tokyo-based Zigexn’s sales surged 15.9% to Y3.4 billion ($33 million U.S.) in the Apr.-Jun. quarter. Internet media business, which is the company’s mainstay, saw a 33% year-on-year increase in the number of unique users to 17.7 million in Q1. Its number of clients reached 16,805.

Sales for the company’s HR segment rose 12% year-on-year to Y2.3 billion. The segment comprises of a recruitment site for pharmacists at Yakuzaishikyujin-Ex.jp, a nursing career-change site at Kangokyujin-Ex.jp, a comprehensive jobs site at Job.Dmkt-Sp.jp, a job site for part-timers at AruBaito-Ex.jp, a temp jobs site at Haken-Ex.jp, and a career-change site at Tenshoku-Ex.jp. It also covers a job-matching cloud system MatchinGood and HR tech company BrainLab.

The company’s real estate segment recorded a 24% surge in sales to Y589 million. The division covers a used-apartments trading portal at Menoreno.jp and a rental property search engine at Smocca.jp.

The lifestyle segment’s sales grew by 25% to Y533 million. It comprises of a used-car price comparison site and marketplace at Kuruma-Ex.jp, a car search engine at Kuruma-Ex.jp/UsedCar, and used-cars exporting sites at Car-Tana.com and TradeCarview.com.
