Cox Automotive U.K.’s digital marketing division Modix has agreed an exclusive partnership with LivePerson Automotive to provide dealers with advanced live chat and text services.

The deal will allow Modix to offer a new product, Modix Live Chat +, enabling dealers to have live chats with customers while they browse stock on both manufacturers used vehicle locators (UVL’s) and directly on dealers’ websites. Dealers can also use it to communicate with OEMs.

The product is used on manufacturer UVLs and dealer websites, and Modix claims it has driven a 50% increase in lead capture and is the market leader in live chat technology.

“Car shoppers have a wealth of different needs, and while some are ready to talk payments and finance, others are just starting to compare vehicle models,” said Karl Rice, product lead at Modix.

“Weaving human agents and bots together through LivePerson Automotive’s conversational commerce platform, we can guide and speed up the shopping experience while allowing dealers to focus on what they do best.”

Other Modix products include Modix 360° for vehicle imagery and AdBox for search marketing. The firm works with more than 30 OEMS and 16,500 dealers across Europe.
