Japan-based marketplaces operator Lifull Co. Ltd. will introduce organizational and human resource changes from Oct. 1, 2019. The group announced new departments and new job responsibilities for its key personnel.

Tokyo-based Lifull owns and operates real estate marketplace Lifull Home’s (at Homes.co.jp) and generalist aggregators Trovit and Mitula. It has presence in 57 countries. Homes.co.jp is the company’s cash-cow, contributing around 80% towards the total revenue. The group’s revenue rose 12.8% year-on-year to Y29.3 billion for the nine-month period ended June 30, 2019. Homes.co.jp’s revenue amounted to Y22.3 billion, up 3.2% year-on-year.

Takashi Inoue (LinkedIn profile) will get a new job title of the group’s president. Inoue is currently representative director and president Lifull Home’s. Takashi Yamada (LinkedIn profile) will become director and general manager product management and AI strategy departments of Lifull Home’s. Yamada is a deputy general manager.

Kohei Kawasaki (LinkedIn profile) will assume the charge of general manager of creative and design divisions. Yuji Ito has been promoted to the position of general manager business division from deputy general manager.

In addition, Lifull established product engineering department and data strategy office. The company integrated planning and operation functions related to attracting customers.

Homes.co.jp’s main competitors in Japan include Suumo.jp, AtHomeYahoo Real Estate, and Chintai.net.
