Christian Printzell Halvorsen (LinkedIn profile) is coming back to Schibsted as EVP of Nordic marketplaces and CEO of

Printzell Halvorsen was previously CEO at Finn but left two years ago to become CEO of Cxense, a listed Norwegian software company that recently was acquired by Piano. The merger is ongoing.

Schibsted CEO Kristin Skogen Lund, who’s also chair of the board at Finn, said: “Christian is the perfect candidate to grow and exploit the huge potential that we have in our marketplaces. His latest experience from Cxense is highly relevant in his new role in the Schibsted Group Management Team.”

Printzell Halvorsen, who also was previously chief product officer at Schibsted Marketplaces, said in a news release that he was excited about returning.

“I have a great passion for marketplaces after having spent ten years in Schibsted,” he said. “The organization is built on a fantastic culture that attracts excellent employees, and I personally think it is one of Norway’s best places to work. I am really looking forward to opening a new chapter in Schibsted, and to get to know all the talented colleagues in, Blocket and Tori.” and are Schibsted’s marketplaces in Sweden and Finland. They remained with the parent company when Schibsted spun off most of its other non-Nordic businesses into Adevinta.

Printzell Halvorsen will start his role on Friday, Oct. 11. He succeeds Anders Skoe who left Schibsted this past summer to become CEO of New Zealand horizontal Trade Me.
