Saramin.co.kr, the biggest recruitment marketplace in South Korea, in terms of traffic, has introduced an AI-powered mock interview app to analyze recorded videos of job-seekers.

The app asks applicants to record a mock interview using questions tailored to specific jobs. The AI system then assesses the interview using a variety of parameters, including facial expression, voice, pronunciation, speed and gaze.

A diagnostic report is then forwarded to users, which offers advice on their interview style and directions for improvement, as well as tips from actual interviews. The app is available on both iOS and Android devices.

“We will continue to offer a variety of solutions to help job seekers find successful jobs,” said Bang Sang-wook (Bloomberg profile), acting executive director of Saramin.

Saramin also conducts personality tests to help job seekers prepare for systematic interviews.

The site is owned and operated by Saramin HR Inc.. The company began its foray into jobs advertisement in 2004 with construction jobs search engine, Kisuljob.co.kr. The site has since closed.

Saramin.co.kr saw 13.3 million visitors in Sep., according to SimilarWeb.com. The company’s main competitor, JobKorea.co.kr, had 8.4 million visitors, followed by Alba.co.kr (4.5m), Incruit.com (3.8m) and Kr.Indeed.com (1.1m).
