Two Brazilian recruitment platforms, GeekHunter and Alstra, have recently received funding from venture capital firms.
Early-stage investor 42K Investimentos, Gávea Angels, Bossa Investimentos and Hangar 8 invested BRL 2 million ($498,000 US) in GeekHunter, a recruitment platform focused on software developer jobs.
GeekHunter plans to use the money to improve efficiency in the software engineer hiring process. GeekHunter charges companies a success fee for each candidate hired equivalent to twice the average gross income of the new employee.
Separately, Verus Group invested an undisclosed amount in Alstra, another local jobs platform.
Alstra claims to use artificial intelligence (AI) to help companies find talent for jobs or projects. Alstra, which has already expanded to Chile, Portugal and Spain, will use the funding to expand globally and accelerate AI development.
