Jakobsen (LinkedIn profile) replaced Pedro Sttau and Ford (LinkedIn profile) took charge from Pornladda Dathratwibul. Both Sttau and Dathratwibul left the company.

Jakobsen has more than 20 years of experience in the tech field. He previously served as global director of expansion at an on-demand video service IFlix. Originally from Norway, Jakobsen has been living in Kuala Lumpur since 2014.

Ford returned to ICar Asia after four years working on market-leading automotive and property verticals in Thailand. Between 2013 and 2015, Ford served in leadership roles during ICar Asia’s development phases.

According to ICar Asia CEO Hamish Stone (LinkedIn profile), Ford and Jakobsen would help drive the next phases of growth in its “product and technology and in Thailand.”

“I look forward to partnering with them both to help deliver the next milestones for ICar Asia,” Stone said.
